Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast who was captain for the US women's Olympic gymnastics 2012 Fierce Five team and in the year 2016. In 2016, she was part of the Final Five. At the 2012 Olympics she took gold both on the team floor as well as the individual events. The bronze was won by the balance bar. She was the only American to be awarded many Olympic medals. The 2016 Olympics included her winning a gold at the team event, earning both she as well as Gabby the distinction of being the only Americans to ever win consecutive gold medals for a team. The silver medals she won came from the floor-based individual and all-around event. After the 2 Olympics she took a break from competitive gymnastics for three years. Furthermore she was a part of two gold medal-winning American gymnastics squads. Her first experience with gymnastics began at age two, and her favorite sport is floor exercise. Aly has joined the Uniting Against Lung Cancer group in memory of her grandma. She hopes to build an enviable career in the field of fashion. Leotards that she has designed along with socks and other garments will be expanded in the future. Fierce is a novel that she's currently writing, is due out this year.
